What are some of the challenges our children face growing up, from
elementary,middle to high schools, college, and life? How can parents help to prepare
them to be happy, successful, confident, productive citizens?
Dr. Marie Faubert, UST Director of the M.Ed. Counselor Program &
Dr. Emiliano Gonzalez will lead a conversation-style workshop to help parents explore related issues, develop
insights, and share knowledge on this topic.
Location: University of St. Thomas on Montrose

Families with Children from China - Houston, Inc. (FCC-H) is an all-volunteer nonprofit public benefit corporation with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS serving the greater Houston, Texas region.
- We provide social, cultural and educational support for families who have adopted or plan to adopt children from China and for children adopted from China.
- We sponsor seminars, workshops, and meetings where ideas, opinions, experiences, and issues related to adoption from China may be expressed and shared.
- We seek to educate the general public, adoptive families, and adopted children about issues related to transracial and transcultural adoption and adoption from China.
- We host an annual Chinese New Year celebration.
- We sponsor educational events for families waiting to finalize their adoptions from China and we seek to financially support other organizations with similar purposes and those providing aid and services to orphans in China.
